Biggar is an ideal base if you are planning a visit to Glasgow or Edinburgh, and is a great place to stop overnight before departing from Prestwick, Glasgow or Edinburgh Airports. It is equally handy for Stranraer and Troon for departures to Ireland. Many European visitors spend their last night in Biggar before travelling to Newcastle and Hull
